Hotel Description

The Thistle City Barbican is a modern, 463 roomed 4 star hotel which used to be an old tobacco factory and still retains some of the unique original interior shapes whilst providing every facility that the modern business or leisure guest could want. The Thistle City Barbican is situated on the edge of London's famous Square Mile, the financial and business centre of the capital, just 10 minutes from the Barbican Arts and Conference Centre and the Business Design Centre. There is a complimentary shuttle bus at prime times to take you to the City. Nearby Old Street tube and railway station make access to all of London easy and it is only 3 miles to Liverpool Street Station and the Stansted Airport Shuttle.

The Thistle City Barbican is a great base to see London's sights from. The Museum of London is within walking distance and two stops on the tube brings you to the Tower of London and Traitor's Gate on the River Thames. From there you can take a riverboat and see a different view of London. St Paul's Cathedral is close and from here you can cross the famous Millenium Bridge and see a Shakespeare play in original surroundings at the Globe Theatre or visit the Tate Modern.

When you need to do something different Thistle City Barbican has its own Otium Health and Leisure complex complete with pool, sauna steam ,and spa pool. Trained instructors will help with fitness programs using the cardiovascular equipment and there are a range of beauty treatmentss available.
