The Strand Palace dates back to 1907 when permission was granted to build an Art Deco showpiece in the prominent Westminster thoroughfare of The Strand close to Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square and the River Thames. The hotel was an American rest and recuperation residence during World War II and has now been carefully modernised to give guests every modern convenience on site. The Strand Palace is an ideal base for exploring London. It is within easy reach of the theatres of the West End and the night life of Soho and Chinatown. The pedestrianised Trafalgar Square is just round the corner so it is easy to visit the National and National Portrait Galleries. The concierge can arrange theatre tickets, car or coach hire.
